WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association (RGA) released the following the following response to Amy Klobuchar launching a gubernatorial campaign in Minnesota:

“After failed vice presidential candidate Tim Walz was forced to drop his campaign due to a massive fraud scandal, now enters failed presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar.

“Not only is Amy Klobuchar going to have to answer for fellow Democrat Tim Walz’s blatant mismanagement that left Minnesota taxpayers being swindled out of billions of dollars, she has to answer for her own record, which is going to prove a tough task. In the Senate Klobuchar has a record of literally zilch except causing rampant inflation, putting criminals over law-abiding citizens, and calling for higher taxes. Simply put, Amy Klobuchar has already failed Minnesota and Minnesotans can’t afford any more incompetent governance,” said RGA Communications Director Courtney Alexander.

Amy Klobuchar’s Record:

Klobuchar voted for the failed Democrat economic agenda that led to skyrocketing inflation.

Klobuchar repeatedly voted against historic tax cuts for middle-class families and has advocated for raising taxes on capital gains and corporations.

Klobuchar has called for increasing the number of refugees and even criticizedthe Obama administration for going “way too far” with deportations of illegal immigrants, while pushing for amnesty and taxpayer-funded benefits.

Klobuchar voted against the Laken Riley Act, a commonsense, bipartisan bill to hold criminal, illegal immigrants accountable for their crimes.
